Oh I wish these were my words! They are from Political Junkie commenting on Liberals split on how to replace Dion on the CBC website.
“This isn’t difficult, but as usual politicians make it harder than it really is.
1. Any candidate must declare himself by Dec 14.
2. Set a date around Jan 1-7 for a vote.
3. Contact all existing members of the Liberal party and notify them of this.
4. Proceed with the vote, be it a mail in card, internet, telephone, or in person with a ballot box
5. Count the votes
6. The guy with the most wins and is named leader
All this can be done in 3 weeks, easily.”
Seems pretty straightforward to me. And it’s transparent!
