Parklawn Cemetery in Toronto

I love cemeteries - old cemeteries.  Modern memorial gardens don’t do much for me.  The older the cemetery, the more interesting the headstones.  In fact, calling them headstones doesn’t do justice to the huge gorgeous rococo statues.  Maybe people thought that god was more likely to notice them if they had a really big memorial.

Asides

  • I’m in the process of moving Living in the Country from Typepad to Wordpress.  I got a bit ahead of myself last night and moved all the posts.  I suppose I could undo everything, and go back to Typepad until the Wordpress installation is all formatted but I’ve decided to leave it like this as a work in progress.

    • Next step - telling the other writers what I did and letting them know how to log in and post
    • Third step - fix the Category list
    • Fix the feed
    • change the banner images
    • move the images - this is going to be a lot harder than I anticipated!

Welcome to Living in the Country

Sometimes I live in the country - Priceville in Grey County and Dungannon in Huron County - and sometimes I live in the City - Toronto.  Hard to pin down.
